Will graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Genetics. He obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2013 and went on to gain his Chartered Business Valuator (CBV) designation in 2017.
Will joined Smythe Advisory in 2014 and provides valuation and advisory services to owner-managed businesses with a focus on litigation support, financial modelling and valuation for financial reporting purposes. Will has written articles on the subject of valuation of private businesses and the calculation of income in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Child Support Guidelines and the Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines, in the context of family law. Prior to joining the Firm, he was involved in providing assurance and tax services to businesses operating in construction, manufacturing and technology sectors.
Will serves as a committee member in the BC Chapter of The Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators (CBV Institute) and Co-Chair of the Membership and Best Practices Committee of the Collaborative Divorce Vancouver Society.
When Will is not busy brushing up on the latest phones, technology and gadgets on the internet, he can be found reading Game of Thrones on his kindle.
